Anything pumpkin flavored, it is already in my cart. As soon as coffee shops pull out their pumpkin-flavored syrup, I am buying all the pumpkin lattes that fit into my stomach. Yes, I got my first pumpkin spiced latte all the way back at the end of August. I seriously adore pumpkin everything. That first sip of a fresh pumpkin cup. It is heaven, there is no better way to describe it.

But, you know that going to coffee shops every day can get expensive, especially when coffee can be 5 dollars! I can’t support my love of pumpkin-flavored drinks and Halloween decorations while still buying all those expensive coffees! It would never work. Plus, all through September I did a “no spend month,” so I had to figure out how to get my pumpkin fix without spending the money.

Luckily, one day I was strolling around Target, as I often do. I was in the coffee aisle and I spotted something really exciting. I found this beautiful wonderful pumpkin-flavored coffee syrup. I was never much of a barista, just mixing my coffee with creamer and moving on. But once I saw this, a thousand different pumpkin coffee ideas popped into my head (most of them I had no idea how to make).

But I knew one thing for sure, I would definitely be able to use this syrup to make a simple pumpkin iced coffee at home, so I threw it in my cart! Once I had the syrup, I knew I had to go directly to the spice aisle. McCormick sells a pumpkin spice mix, with cinnamon, clove, and all the good stuff. I knew that would be perfect in my pumpkin coffee, so I threw that in my cart as well!

I will share that simple recipe with you! But feel free to jazz it up. Add some caramel, blend it, try to turn it into the delicious pumpkin cold brew from Starbucks! This is actually something I am planning on doing soon! I have found some fun recipes online!

Warning, I like my coffee sweet, so if you don’t, play around with the recipe a little until it is just right for you!

This recipe is for iced coffee because I am such a fan of cold drinks no matter what temperature it is outside. But, you can easily make this a hot coffee recipe by taking out the ice! I may like cold coffee, but I will never say no to the beautiful warmth of a hot coffee during a freezing day.

There is so much more you can do with pumpkin, but this is my simple, basic, and easy coffee that I can make in the morning before work, to add a little bit of autumn joy to my day!

I know I shouldn’t be excited about christmas already, but all this talk about flavored coffee has me dreaming of the chestnut praline coffee from Starbucks! I wonder if I could find a coffee syrup with the flavor! That would certainly save me some money!
