Today I wanted to do something a little different on my blog. I have been putting out a lot of fall blog posts this month that I am really proud of. Blogtober has been stretching my creativity a lot. So, because we are more than halfway done with the month, I wanted to take a step back, reflect on the work I have done, then have some fun by completing The Blogtober Tag.

I often don’t spend a lot of time reflecting on what I have accomplished. I am constantly in the mood to go, go, go. Therefore, I never give myself a moment to stop and take a breather. So, that is why I wanted to go over some of the posts I have created for this blog this year, and in years previous, that I am proud of.

It’s so important to take note of the amazing work you are doing, no matter how big or small it may be. If you are getting through the day in whatever capacity, that is something to be proud of. I fully believe that everyone should take time each month, look back, and find something they are proud of. Even if it was just getting out of bed.

Blogtober is a huge drain on my creative well. No matter how much fun I am having this month, it takes a lot out of me, creating 31 new posts every day in October. So, today, after I’m done reflecting, I will be completing The Blogtober Tag. This means someone else is in charge of the topic and questions for today’s post.

I can’t seem to find the creator of this tag, but I found the questions on Mind. Beauty. Simplicity., a wonderful blog that you should definitely go check out.

The Blogtober Tag

Alright, Let’s get into this tag. I love completing tags on my blogs. In the book blog community, These are very common, so I am very used to them. You can check out my book blog by clicking here.

What is your favorite scent?

I am a huge fan of all the fall candles that Bath & Body works releases each year. I get so excited to go into the store and check out what they have. I am currently loving their Pumpkin Spice Latté scent. I believe it was released last year, but I didn’t buy it until this year and I’m obsessed. It is such a warm and delicious scent.

Of course, Leaves from Bath & Body Works is also always on my list. The apple and clove notes scream fall to me, I always make sure I’m stocked up on Leaves for the season.

Do you prefer pumpkin pie or apple pie?

Overall, I’m not particularly a pie fan. There are so many better deserts out there. But if I had to choose, I would pick apple pie. I love the taste of pumpkin, but something about the texture of pumpkin pie weirds me out. Plus, ice cream on warm apple pie is pretty delicious, I can’t lie.

What is one autumn tradition you have?

I spend Halloween the same way each year, without fail. I start by cooking myself a Halloween themed-dinner. I then head to my living room, grab some popcorn, candy, and baked treats, and spend the rest of the night watching scary movies or family-friendly Halloween movies. It is my intovert dream for a solitary Halloween.

What are you most excited about in fall?

I am most excited for the cooler weather. I absolutely hate the heat, so the summer is pure torture. Once the weather gets cooler, my mood instantly gets better. So once the windy and rainy season starts, I know fall has begun.

What is your favorite scary movie?

There are so many good horror movies, this is a tough question to answer. But if I had to choose, I would say The Conjuring is one of my absolute favorites. I have seen that movie so many times, and I never get bored.

Check out some of my scary movie recommendations here (slasher movies) and here (ghost movies).

What is your favorite Halloween candy?

Well, if I’m in the mood for something chocolatey, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. If I’m in the mood for something fruity, I always enjoy skittles.

Favorite pumpkin spice flavored thing?

Everything? Is everything an answer? Well, if I have to pick, I would say pumpkin spice coffee. That is way too good. But Pumpkin spice Cheerios come in a close second, tied with pumpkin bread.

What is your warmest fall memory?

My best and most vivid memories from fall all surround Halloween. I remember eating dinner at home, then getting dressed in my costume and heading out with my family to go trick-or-treating. The magical feeling of Halloween when I was young was unmatched.

What is your favorite autumn must have?

I am going to go practical here and say hand cream. Fall brings cooler weather and it also brings dry skin. So I always make sure I have hand cream everywhere. In my bathroom, on my bedside table, in my car, and in my purse. It is always a bonus when the lotion is pumpkin scented!

I think my favorite part of fall is talking about how much I love fall. It is the best season in the world, nobody can tell me otherwise. This is why it is so easy for me to write fall blog posts. Because the only thing going through my head this month is how much I love the season, i just pull it out of my head and put it on my blog.

But I did appreciate the break from creativity today. It allowed me to fill my creative well a little while still talking about Autumn. So thanks to whoever created The Blogtober Tag.

Technically, I am supposed to tag other bloggers to do this tag. I always struggle doing this, so I will leave it up to you! Feel free to participate in The Blogtober Tag, or just sit back and enjoy my answers.
