I first discovered my love for Hallmark a couple of years ago randomly. I was flipping through channels with a friend in the middle of November when we came upon a movie decked out in everything Christmas. From the decorations to the music, everything about this movie screamed Christmas. I just loved it. Christmas used to be my favorite time of year (until fall took over) so this discovery was amazing.

But, it wasn’t until last year that I realized the Hallmark channel makes a lot more than just Christmas movies. They make movies for every season, so now I can be festive all year long! Valentine’s movies, summer movies, spring movies, you name it! They are really on all year round playing romance movie set in each season… that is amazing.

Hallmark makes some of the sappiest romance stories I have ever watched. They are basic, and they are predictable, but there is something about them that brings me comfort. It is like a warm hug on a cold autumn day. My best friend and I can sit there and predict what is going to happen, but I think that is what makes them so great. They are just always there, and I don’t have to think too much when I watch them.

Last year I was a little late on jumping on the Hallmark movies, so I only got to watch a couple Autumn themed movies before they switched over to Christmas. But this year I was prepared. I wanted to watch as many as my busy schedule will allow. It wasn’t a lot, but I did find a couple that were perfectly predictable in every way!

Follow Me to Daisy Hills

This was the premiere of the fall Hallmark season! To be honest, this wasn’t my ABSOLUTE favorite. No, it wasn’t horrible, but to me, it didn’t have enough to do with fall to completely enamor me. But I still loved it!

It was so classically Hallmark, there was no way I wouldn’t love it. It was about a woman who did everything to keep her family business running, even teaming up with her ex boyfriend from high school. One of my favorite tropes if the reunited childhood lovers, and this one is great for that!

October Kiss

So many pumpkins, and so much Halloween. This has to be one of my favorite Hallmark of the year… or ever?

It was the complete opposite to “Follow me to Daisy Hill,” as it was completely full of everything autumn. There was pumpkin carving and baking and trick or treating. It was beautiful and wonderful and so full of autumn joy I couldn’t stop smiling!

Autumn in the Vineyard

This is another classic Hallmark movie. Two people tasked with running a vineyard together, but the hate each other… or do they? I loved that this one centered around an Autumn Harvest festival. I didn’t get to go to the Harvest Festival in my town this year because of COVID-19, so it was fun to watch this on the screen!

With a classic enemies to lovers trope, this movie definitely did not disappoint!

Love, Of Course

This movie was filled with so much joy! It follows a mother who just dropped her daughter off at college but finding so much more in the small Oregon town. I really enjoyed watching this movie. Normally Hallmark movies have some sort of conflict between the two love interests, which is frustrating and caused by a lack of communication. In this movie, however, the conflict was small. We got so much more of the happy growth in the relationship, rather than the fighting. It honestly really uplifted my spirits.

Although this movie was technically in Hallmarks “summer nights” section, it was centered around a Harvest festival, where they played pumpkin games and created a corn maze. If that doesn’t scream Autumn, I don’t know what does.

Hallmark movie may not have the best actors, or the best plot lines, but they will always be a part of my holiday celebrations. Honestly, one of my favorite things to do is to imagine living in the beautiful houses featured in the films, decorated from top to bottom for fall or Christmas.

I am so excited about all the Christmas Hallmark premiers! I have the Hallmark Checklist app on my phone, and there are already so many Hallmark movies I have yet to watch. I am ready to add even more to that list!

Honestly, I am just thankful that I was finally able to dive deeper than one film into the Hallmark Autumn movies. I really wish they would expand more on these, I would definitely watch. There is Christmas in July, why can’t there be Autumn in July?

Do you watch Hallmark movies? What is your favorite time of year to watch them?
